Lovely Wespe and figures. Those Wolf and Bego guys surely look like Popsicle

Nice and clean build, your Wespe. Will you use friuls?
The figures are an excellent choice. You will bring in the cold weather again.

Nice job on the wiring. Just a shame that it was to hear the bad news

Congratulations on a very clean scratch building Noel. Did you make the clamps for the wires or are they PE?

Thanks all!
They are made from lead foil. I like to use lead foil... it bends nicely.

Bob...thank you......never believed that one day you will be commenting on my work! You were and still are, an inspiration to me!
Glenn ...thank you.... I did however build up a bit with milliput the back of the guy with the coat....he was very skinny!

Re: Noel's Build: Wespe (Started the BASE)
Thanks, Laura!
I did some work on one of the interior side panels.
I got tired after a while....but I still need to add some stuff...like pin washes and see what needs to be done...

Nice work Noel.
The preshading and highlights add dimension to the model from the very beginning. And your scratches and detailing enhance the weathering very well. Don't forget to put some metal in the latches of the boxes because they look too new.

Thanks, Ruben! That was not on the list and I agree with you.... I'll take care of them!
The wash I applied is one developed by Verlinden........ at least I think it was, cos that's where I got it from! It consists of a heavy wash and dabbing it with a tissue paper (Verlinden said with a "lint-free cloth").
Wash aplied
Removing by dubbing action
Result
Top lateral sides and box tops have a wash applied. The floor has no wash
Sprockets on the left have a wash the ones on the right have no wash

It is similar to the way that Bob Letterman uses washes , It is a filter & wash in one .

Hi Noel,
In the SBS you said you didn't apply a wash to the floor, are you going to do that? And if not what is the reason?
Looking good!

Re: Noel's Build: Wespe (Started the BASE)
First of all thank you all for your comments
No, Erik..... I didn't explain myself well....sorry. I left the floor without a wash to show the difference between washed panels and not!
Here is the washed floor! I'll probably attend to it more ...maybe apply a wash of Yellow Ochre+White oil paint....still thinking:scratch:
and the right side with MG fitted. The MP40 is of the kit.... don't like it...no crisp detail
