Did the Tamiya dudes........ ok...I know......the one on the right looks like my grandmother and the one on the left has his left eye slightly higher than the right!!! I had a bad day with flesh tones and eyes ... and don't intend to correct

Well I think that they are great. But then again I am not as accomplished a figure painter as you, and would undoubtedly settle for less. All I can suggest is that at about 15 below 0 your eyes would probably do crazy things too .

...... THanks for your comment Gary..... well I did spend a few years away from armour and diverted to figure painting. I had won 2 bronze medals at Euro Militaire in 1999 with the only two medieval figures I entered! They had no flesh though.... they had armour helmets on!

The eyes of the reclining one tells what he felt the moment he leaned back and his body touched the cold surface.

I managed to put in a few minutes of work! Since the dead-line has been extended, I might be able to finish this!!
Diorama initial plan
Wespe 99% done....... waiting for the tracks

The Wespe looks superb Noel! What a showcase of weathering.
Another great diorama in the making. Maybe you can have the path where the infantry are walking slightly higher to add interest.

Thank you very much for your kind comments! Really appreciate them!
Well x3 figures to go and I'll start the ground work. Here are 2 figures I've just finished painting.... 1 to go! But I still can't afford the metal tracks for my Wespe!!!!! We'll see with the next pay check!

@ Alex - Thanks mate!
@ Steven - Thanks! I made the officer with yellow piping (Signals/communications) for some colour.
@ Jay - Thanks! I finished the last figure which I'll be posting soon.
Unfortunatly I don't think I'll manage to finish the dio before the closing date!

Very very cool. The Wespe is awesome but those figures , WOW. Any chance you could explain your technique? Especially the reversable uniforms? I always have trouble with white and yours looks so realistics.

Re: Noel's Build: Wespe (Started the BASE)
Thanks for your kind comments, James, mip & Erik!
Basically, I mix Vallejo Ivory with a sand brown colour so the white base will be more of a beige colour. Than I start adding White to that mix and build the highlights till I finish up with pure white of the high highlights. I do the same thing for the shadows by adding more of the sand brown.
However I'll try to explain it more in detail and get also the colour reference of the Vallejo paints used.
A tiny update
THe final figure
