Lot of work with these many PE parts. And you are the right for this job.
When they see that at Dragon´s they will melt their kit and take yours as the new master.

More stuff
Thank you Johnny & Laura , your the only ones checking my posts .
Well here is some more stuff
I noticed that there was a tie down on the right hand ammo box , the Voyager instructions does not mention one & there is no marking for the location of one . There are a few left over so I added the missing one , taking care to put it in a straight line with the ones on the other boxes .
The front of the box , notice the ultra fine perforations on the side of the ammunition box
The back of the box with the grrrr bent post !!!
The three boxes , note how the tie downs line up .
The outside of the Right Hand Sponson , tie downs & tools . The Pry bar fitting on the front is strangely omitted in the Voyager set but the Dragon etch has the part
More soon

Marder II brass.
This is looking so good. I was wondering how much of the actual kit pieces are bieng used? It looks like over half of the kit will be going into the parts bin.

fuel tank gas cap
My little Marder II has been sittin for a little over a year now and I was wondering, do you by any chance happen to have a photo of what the cap looks like on the gas tank?
I dont want to leave it open, and would prefer to not have to " tarp it ", but I have spent probably over a hundred hours over the last year looking for a photo, but have never seen one. I was probably just going to guess that it is like the cap on the Mk IV gas tanks and use one from the Dragon kits I have, but I would rather know for sure instead of guessing.

Jenny-
I always check your posts,I just don't always comment because I can't think of something better to say than "that looks great" after every update!
But I will say your p.e. workmanship is very impressive, your making it look easy.
Oh, and, that looks great. I'll keep watching, I promise.

Diorama started
Thank you everybody for the nice words !
Well between work & sport , I have done a little work on the diorama base . I have an article where Marcus used the same Monroe Perdu fascade as I am using . To secure the heavy resin in place he used dowels , I decided to do the same . The resin is very thick & heavy , it really does need to be fastened to the base securely
Holes were drilled in the base board & then into the resin . I then taped the window box to the building & drilled holes for it to join the fascade .
I also cut a piece of foamboard for the fascade to sit on , this is to raise the fascade to footpath height !
The line in front of the fascade is the footpath width . None of the parts are glued yet to aid in painting !

Jenny -
Always checking up on your updates, just that I'm running out of 'adjectives' to describe the masterful work that shows up in each and ever update. You've surely become a "Princess of PE" and it is just incredible to see the work involved. Animal(s) to be involved in your diorama too? Are we going to see another sculpt? Just another area that you've come to master. I really like the details that the facade shows, and it should be an interesting paint project. Always more please.
Mike

Jenny,
I am like the others and do look at your post. Just do not comment on everypost.
It is a great SBS on the build and very interesting to say the least. You are doing a Masterful job and giving us a lot to think on. Like taking up knitting
You are an education.
Thanks for all you do.
Cheers

Jenny-
That's a cool base, I like Monrue Purdue's stuff. As for the animal, I'd guess a donkey and cart, like in "Patton". Donkeys are the most stubborn animals, next to male homo sapiens who build models!
Can't wait to see the whole thing finished, I am intriqued about the diorama! Keep up the excellent work, you set the standard for this site!

Jenny, this is a nice building kit - but we are sure that you could make that better. With architecture material you had less stress than with these resine parts - we are sure!
