Just beautifull Jenny! The interiour look very nicewith all the stuff in it it look like man live in that vehicle. And positioning that stuff and make it look confincing is very hard! And you aced it! Those stencelings on the ammo boxes and first aid kits are decals I presumme? What brand are they? They add a lot of realisme to the interior to!

Re: Jennys Build : Dragon Marder II ALL FINISHED SEPTEMBER 6th !!!!!!
Thank you again for all your beautiful comments , it really gives me great motivation to finish this the best I can .
Well I am almost finished the base , with just some more weathering on the Marder & placement of the figures and a few accessories , if I get a good run I will be finished tomorrow , It is always a bit sad as you almost live the diorama through construction but still , when finished it is onto the next adventure !
Well the telegraph pole is an Aber one , the arabic stop sign is from Monroe Perdu and comes with the building as do the other signs on the diorama .
The back of the sign was painted Neutral grey .
the piece of paper caught on the barbed wire is from Plus models , all the scenics are from Treemendus ,the grass is unpainted & the forest litter was airbrushed a darker brown & then drybrushed with various lighter browns I wanted the corner to look like a slum but have enough detail to hold some visual interest .
I used fine solder for the cables from the telegraph pole to the .......
building mount which is from Custom Dioramics , the power box is from the old tamiya matilda with some evergreen strip & rod added .
The crow (who was going to be Cheyenne the crow until I realised it would be a hen ) is Rosy the Raven who has left her nest to see what the ruckus is in the street below
Oooooh two eggs
The paling fence was given my version of the Chuck Doan treatment ( just not as good as Chuck does it )
The tussocky grass is from Treemendus.
The goat poop had me thinking for a while ....... Then I started thinking of something close in shape only , This product is from Treemendus , I think it is called forest fruit , I am going to use it on a future project as blackberries in a Hedgerow diorama , but proved ideal for my planned use .
So with a coat of Dark olive drab (Tamiya) the goat poop was made , now anyone who has followed a herd of goats knows they leave a constant trail as they go , so not all of this poop was from Geraldine !
More soon !

Jenny,
One can only marvel at the way you design and build those bases of yours. So full of details!
Now, if I can suggest something...
The border of the sign is too white and looks too new compared with the rest. (Maybe that's on purpose I don't know.) What I do is paint the border with a brown marker, that way it looks like wood and doesn't draw so much attention.
But anyways, it is a great base so don't pay too much attention to my nitpicking.

Re: Jennys Build : Dragon Marder II ALL FINISHED SEPTEMBER 6th !!!!!!
Well thank you everyone for the kind and friendly advice you gave me , I really appreciate the excellent photos Cheyenne posted of real buildings , tremendous reference . Thank you Gary for the advice about the travel lock , the real pitfall of the kit , to Bob Letterman who walked me through the Bob sponge square paint method for the balcony & for everyone else for encouragement & also for the inspiration in your own works .
The finished vehicle , note how I masked the area void of dust where the travel cover has been fitted to keep the vehicle relatively dust free . I used Lifecolor dust I & II and some pigments to finish. Well with the Marder finished it is time to finish the diorama so ............................
I proudly present for you ........................
THE OTHER , OTHER WHITE MILK !
The crew of the marder are just waiting for the water to boil for the coffee , one of the men enquires if they have any milk , the officer points out the alternate milk supply , innocently walking by , much to the amusement of the crew
Unsuspecting are they that Gary the goatherd is following the herd
Note I painted the white off the edge of the sign !
From this angle you can see that Gary the Goatherd is out of sight of Gertrude the goats potential assailant
Gary has a big stick too
It sure would be nice to have some milk in my coffee
But what is this ? What a small world ! Our dear friend Fritzi has her Beau serving in the DAK !!! He laughs at his friend the goat molester but his heart is with his Fritzi . Writing her name on the dust on the back of the Marder
This one is for Gary , Crow poop for you .
Well I hope you have enjoyed the build as much as I have . I really think the Monro Perdu backdrop is full of character , they are marvelous .

This is a great diorama in that it necessarily isn't about a gun crew. It could easily have been a race rally crew in place of the tank. The story, details, setting, look very good and work wonderfully to tell the tale.
Great job!

Fantastic diorama!
Everything is just so well done, good composition - many interesting details - the buildings give more character to the scene - excellent weathered vehicle and excellent painted figures!

Yeah babe!
Love looking at this soooo much. Great idea for the goat poo . Your eye for detail rules once again, fantastic.
I like everything about this dio. Quality of the workwomanship, composition, Humour - everything.
Big pat on the back (not goat pat). Here's to the next one.

As old Monty Burns would say eeeeexcelent.
I think it is just perfect. But boy does that guy have something coming if he thinks he can get anything from Gertude without a serious whoopin from Gary.
And now we are lucky. We have Laura to go to for expert advice on early war German anything . And now we have Jenny who we can all go to for " the straight poop " on everything else .

Congratulations Boss!
