Jenny, top drawer, when I tell guys how good you and Laura are, they don't believe me, that is until they take a look! You guys are great conversation subjects. You are so unique!

Marvelous , just marvelous. One more great little lesson to go into my little mental tool box.
Have you thought about putting this in the " Top Tips" section so all the silly people that aren't watching everyting you do here can see it?

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone , I will copy the stuff to the Top Tips section for you later .
Well I finished the commander figure from Neo Grade , unfortunately I bumped him as I went to photograph him & his index finger fell off & I cannot find it !
So I added some brass wire & coated it with Mr Surfacer 500 & I will fix it up when he dries .
The head is a Hornet one , not through a fault to the other one , it was the expression I was after . I used the kit cap with the head removed with a router in my dremel .
I added the hair from Magic Sculpt epoxy sculpt .

Excellent job on the downpipe ! Very convincing!
The wood is also well represented!
You girls keep us on our toes!
Sad about the figure... I hate when something like that happens! Extra job!
Regards
Noel

One work of art after the other
Jenny, this entire "in progress" build has been absolutely beautiful. There has been metal bending, pipes rusting, buildings getting bob's sponged style, wine consumed (had to drink the wine to use the foil for the gutters right?), fences faded, bent PE posts, sponson's spun up, heaps oh hasps made, heads swapped, goats milked and fingers broken off, not to mention every creature on earth called off trying to guess what the mystery figure was going to be. I have just been through every post for this subject and was completely entertained. The Marder is looking great and I can't wait to see it finished and on the diorama. I want to thank everyone who added a reply to this post for keeping me in stitches tonight. And the pictures of the Italian landscape are beautiful and going on my screen saver. Keep up the great work and have fun. That's what this hobby is all about, FUN. Later tomaters.

Dear Jenny:
Your work is very nice. I like the way you have painted the building. Tha balcony is a little piece of art.
I´m very, very sorry, but I can not say the same about the downpipe ... .... probably I´d made a 90 angle fold on the upper "U" channel to the main wall instead the way you solved it crossing the lateral, and really beautiful wall of the balcony ... it´s just my opinion, anyway....
I will use the same technique for painting wood parts as yours are REALLY nice.
Congratulations!

you surely have seen it on pmms earlier jenny! the guy from echelon must have seen your build and thought to themselves that this model deserves a good set of decals:

will you use them?

Sounds like you need the little purple haired fella to make a visit to your place and check your model building area for that lost finger. That's why I hired him. Great for finding small parts. Good luck with the rest of your project. It is really turning out "Great". I love it. Later tomater.

Hmmmm maybe I can morph "Mervyn the Mauve" to help , then I will need a name for my one Hmmmmm
Jenny
"Mervyn the Mauve"
Mervyn is always ready to travel. As I will be on vacation starting next week, his services will not be required. He will be seeking temporary employment while I am away. You could always get that t-shirt for him while he's visiting. Think about that for a little bit and let me know. I can get a cheap ticket via the US Postal service and dispatch him this week. Later tomater.

APHON TRANSMISSION
Well I have been away from this build while building my Teeney Weeney Braille Tiger but I am back in full build mode again . I am painting all the interior stuff as well as interior stowage . Here is my first thing finished , the Aphon Transmission .
Here is the real thing , note the fire extinguisher bracket & the bracket for the oil can . It is always important to remember that I am modelling a fully functioning vehicle so all the stowage should be shown in situ , unlike the often empty stowage racks of Museum examples .
More soon .

Thanks everyone for the encouragement .
Well I have painted the radios , I will wire them all in next but I thought you may want to see them first .
The Fu 5 SE 10 U Radio set
10W.S.c Transmitter
Ukw.E.e Receiver
U10A Dynamotor for transmitter
EUa Dynamotor for receiver
I have the book "German Radio Sets 1935-1945" by Heimdal which I refer to as The Big Boring Book of German Radios . I just do not think anyone needs to know that much about radios !
