This is a set based on German mechanic's working or in relaxed poses (this is another great set for figure painters and those of us that enjoy figures in a “non combat” pose).

The Kit:
Master Box Auto-repair crew in 1/35th Scale Kit # MB35982 AutoRepaircrewsprue
Contains 1 sprue with 32 pieces that have no flash.
This set contains four (4) figures of German mechanics. These can be anywhere the German Army or Air Force worked and fought. One is sitting and appears to be trying to figure out what the problem is. One is using a hand pump to pump up a tire (the pump is included, but you will have to add the foot stabalizers and hose) and one is looking at an inner tube trying to find the hole (inner tube is not included). And the last figure is turning a wrench (the set also comes with a table and a set of tools in a roll up style case). Two of the figures come with a pipe for smoking. The engine on the table in the picture on the back of the box is not included but anyone with a parts box can come up with something for them to work on. All of the mechanic's are in shirtsleves with two having their tunics removed giving them a removed from combat look.
There are no weapons, but the uniforms and equipment look accurate.
Conclusion: Master Box has done it again, producing four excellent looking figures all in non combat or relaxed poses.
Uniforms and equipment are covered in numerous books, so information on these should not be too hard to find.
Overall this should build into an outstanding replica and is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys figures. I would like to thank Alexander Surzhenko of Master Box Models for the review kit.

Thanks Shawn:

That looks like a nice set of rear area figures. I personally prefer the "not in combat" type of figures for what I do. And these look like they would be good for a lot of diffrent things, as it seems they could be made to be doing almost anything really.

Gary,
I couldn't agree more. They have endless possibilities.
They can be in any theater of the war: Afrika, Europe or Russia, indoors or out.
They can be working on Vehicles, aircraft or whatever?
How cool would it be to have them repairing bicycles? In the early years, bikes were a major part of the Army. Or motorcycles, Cars, trucks the list is endless.

It appears that this is the same figures that they put out earlier as Deutsches Afrika Corps, WWII Era (as motorcycle repair personnel in Afrika). I never got that set, so I don't know if they are the same or if the motorcycle came with the other kit, either way, they are pretty sweet and can be used for various scenes.

Yes Shawn the figures were released earlier with the motormacycle , this is cheaper specially if you want to have them working on some other vehicle .
