Latest paper Flakpanzer III from Cyber Hobby
Dragon are certainly milking the Pz III moulds for all they're worth. Really not sure about this one, there was some evidence that the Ostwind turret was bodged onto a Pz III. But this one? I'm yet to be convinced.

I know I'm in the minority but this is a bit of a yawn.

Yeah, me too, the Pz III Ostwind is kinda fun and there were photos of it somewhere although they seem to have disappeared. BTW, the Pz III with 3.7 cm Flak needs a new name and I propose Scirocco.
But it's about time some Allied subjects got the CH touch. Funnily enough I was going through what Shermans are outstanding (loads) and one obvious choice for Dragon would be a new M4A3 105 mm HVSS with POA15 flamethrower. They used to do this kit in the Imperial Series but it would be easy for them to tool up the flame projector and add it to their M4A3 105 mm. Preferably after they have corrected the under-sized mantlet.

I'll probably get one of these, even though there are doubts it even existed.
It is my luck, I knew DML or CH would eventually release one, as it often happens, I'd started my own conversion a couple of years ago, using the Tamiya Pz III Ausf L and Wirbelwind turret

Looks good Andrew. What inspired you to build it?

Re: Latest paper Flakpanzer III from Cyber Hobby
The inspiration came from an auction on ebay
I saw it on an auction, and thought I could do that. I had a spare Wirbelwind turret from an attempt to make an accurate Ostwind using the Tamiya 35233 Wirbelwind and the CMK Ostwind kit, and I had the Pz III chassis in the stash

Well I have thought about it long and hard , and my vote would be for "Mirage"

Good name, except that a mirage isn't a wind... Also the Scirocco is as rare as hen's teeth whilst the Mk II was cobbled together from an obsolete chassis

I'm waiting for some Stoner at DML to come up with a PzI with a 12.8cm Pak44 bolted on top as some weird SPG hybrid.
That's done it, I can almost hear the mouse clicks as someone tries to PhotoShop the horrible mongrel together as a "research" project.

Actually Jenny you got it partially right, Krupp did indeed come up with the conversion for the Panzer I but the 12.8cm gun was actually made by a WWI German aircraft manufacturer so the full name is a KruppinyourpanzerImitabigfokkergun.

You do know that when Dragon/Cyber Hobby release the thing it will sell like hotcakes. It might be a good idea to have this thread registered as IP because you'll be eligible to the rights. That is of course supposing you want your reputations associated with the thing...

If DML actually respected IP then it'd be worth it, but they don't so it isn't.

Good point. Well made. Although I always had the impression that Trumpeter/Hobby Boss were the real culprits when it came to IP

It's sadly a problem with a lot of Chinese companies, and because cases are heard in Chinese courts they get away with it.
I think we should stop this conversation as it's getting political, and it's not what this Site is about.

The kit would need a turned brass one piece barrel , so the box is long enough to write " Auffafuchsakenkruppinyourpanzermitabigfokkergun " on it .
