Rheintöchter SAM - Cromwell Models
I managed to find which packing crate this kit was stashed in, if I hadn't, there would have been a photo of my spare room which is currently being used as interim storage. I was meant to have moved house by now, but the job I was going to start in Dartmoor has been deferred back to the new year
Anyway, back to the kit. This is the limited edition kit of the Rheintöchter SAM which was released by Cromwell Models years ago. It's my first all resin kit (others have been resin conversions) and my first wingy thingy* since before Thatcher**
*Well it is a missile and does have wings so technically it is a wingy thingy, but then it's also AAA and is used to punish those unnatural things with wings.
**This has really dated me and I was quite shocked to realise this
p.s I have no idea when I'll actually get this started, current work doesn't give me any free time and I've packed up all my stuff in anticipation for a move that may now take place in January instead of last month.

Hi Andy
Glad you found this in the stash, I'm looking forward to seeing this develop.
Don't worry too much about progress though, we've got a year.

I just googled this specimen, quite a fascinating weapon! Definitely looking forward to seeing this go together, good luck with this build Andy, when you get to it.

Re: Rheintöchter SAM - Cromwell Models
Thanks chaps!
It is a fascinating subject and one which I know very little about. The only refs I have are German Secret Weapons by Hogg and erm... the interweb
No idea on what paint job this is going to have, possibly dark yellow carriage and some sort of RLM scheme for the missile. Might have to check out the Luft '46 web site and see if those chaps can help.
