Exciting Upcoming releases from Tamiya in 1/35th scale
Well Tamiya have announced their Shizouka releases for 2011 and some exciting releases too
First off for Israeli vehicle fans
35322 M1 Super Sherman
Which I hear will be a precursor for a M4A1 Sherman
Then a second release for Finnish vehicle fans and maybe a kick for someone to release a Finnish Tank Crew
35318 Finnish Army BT-42 Self-Propelled Gun
And for WWII plane lovers
60332 1/32 North American P-51D Mustang *
Other new releases include
37010 1/48 Sd.Kfz.234/2 Puma
37009 1/48 German 88mm Flak Tobruk Set
35315 1/35 German Jerry Can Early Type Set
TAM35320 1/35 German Feldgendarmerie
37008 1/48 Junkers Ju87 B-2 Stuka w/Bomb Set
Very kewl

You're only getting away with that joke here 'cos we like you Terry
I assume the Puma and the 88 are reboxed Italeri offerings. But the BT42 has definitely got my interest as there used to be a conversion set available to build this from one of the eastern european kits, but it was still hard work.

Finnish Army BT-42
.
This look like a interesting model kit.
She should complement your self propelled assault gun collection.

None, it is an M1 Sherman and not an M50 or M51. THe M1 was the M4A176mm with HVSS suspension. It still has the original radial engine of the M4 and M4A1. The gun was the standard M1A1 76mm. These were in reserve use during the 67 war and were noticeable as the tanks that supported the paras in the "Liberation" of Jerusalem. I only hope that they offer a nice new M4A1 76mm VVSS. BTW both DML and Academy has offered nice M51's and DML and MP models did M50's

Yes, kudos to Tamiya, for the Super Shermi, BT-42 and the BT-7, some great subjects there I reckon.
