Griffon Models WW2 German 5cm PaK 38 L/60 with Bonus

Griffon Models offers an useful set to upgrade the DML 5cm PaK L/60.





The set consists of the metal barrel parts and a fret of pe to mount this barrel to the DML PaK. As a bonus there is a second pe fret of double thickness to build an ammo box for the 5cm grenades plus a decal sheet to detail this box.

The barrel can be assembled very easy with the muzzle brake broken down in four parts plus a length of wire to be glued on top of the muzzle brake.





The barrel itself shows the rifling of the original one.



The parts for the barrel all have very fine details and no cleanup is needed so that the assembly goes on straightforward without any problem.





This set is designed for the DML 5cm L/60 PaK but with slight modifications this barrel can also be mounted on the italeri PaK from their Demag kit:





the ammobox build is easy and quick but has some very tiny parts for the hinges! Griffon offers you two options for them - workable and non workable!



Conclusion: This set designed for the DML PaK 5cm L/60 is easy to work with and has crisp details! The instructions are easy to understand so any modeller can handle this Upgrade and add fine details to the original kit! Although not designed for it this set can also be used for the Italeri 5cm L/60 PaK with a little bit modification done to the cradle!
