1/35th S-Boote from Itaeri
I received my 1/35th S-Boote from Italeri on Tuesday, I must say that it is quite impressive.
I have been waiting for this kit all of my life, I had a 1/32nd R.C. version years ago but it lacked the detail that I desired to turn it into a scale model.
I have three of these kits and will build them all in different schemes.
Thank you Italeri!

Hey Chris ,
I wanted this kit when I first heard it was on the way ! Like Jenny I would love some furhter info on the kit !
By the way , I can thoroughly endorse a book called S-Boote German E Boats in action 1939-1945 by Jean-Phillippe Dallies-Labourdette & published by Histoire & Collections , if you do not have it already . A must have for building the kit !
Did you know that the Wheatcroft Collection is restoring S130 ? They are diving on the wrecks of four other E Boats , scuttled off the coast of Denmark for parts .

Great to see it. I too have been waiting for the S-boat for a long time. Now I can't wait to see what after market goodies will come. Hopefully some great crew members and photo etch.

Great kit
My S-100 arrived yesterday evening. It is a great kit and worth the long wait. The only problems that I have seen so far is that the hull halves were damaged (the thin part on top of the torpedo openings), and I am not totally pleased with the 20mm guns. The receiver portion of the guns appear to be too thin making it difficult to add an aftermarket barrel. I'm not trying to pick it apart what I have found so far is fixable. I plan to wait until we see what after market accessories become available before I begin major construction as much as I want to build the monster.

My kit was damaged as well
My kit was damaged as well, for the money that Italeri is charging for the kit, you would think that they would take a little more care with the packaging, they did a shitty job on that end of things.

Agree...
Howdy,
Totally agree Chris. I had the same problem as Eagle. I just put the hull together. I like the screw idea. Working on the 30mm gun. I put an Armoscale 30mm barrel. Seemed a bit smaller than kit barrel. I am going to switch out the 20's for some DML ones. Later, Ryan
