Etch-grip
Hi
I got myself this as a supplement for soldering, it's not a soldering iron though. It uses glue which is heated upon attachment, and the strenght of the glue should be very good.
I got it because I was put off by all the soldering work associated with the assembly of the ammo containers of the Nashorn. This one will come in handy when attaching the armor plates I think. I haven't tried it out yet, but as soon I get confident with it, I'll post a review.

Heat activated glue? WHAT? Did a quick google, didn't find a vendor, where did you get it and what does it cost?

choose "1 wax puttying" and then "equipment and waxes" , scroll down and there you are - etch grip with temp control 74,90€, etch grip without temp control 35,50€, gluing pads 3,50€

I had this tool in my hands at the last Munich model show. And that´s why I still work with cyanacrylat drops on a CD/DVD and needles... It is not easy to applicate very small glue drops. Maybe, I am too gaga. or too conservative.
