Re: GREAT NEW GROUP BUILD SPONSORED BY MONROE PERDU
Well Michael Bishop from Monroe Perdu has made a very generous offer for the members of Tanks & Things . We will start a new group build in August called "Cornered" , now the diorama must be of this Monroe Perdu street corner shown below . Michael has graciously donated 22 of "The Corner" diorama base which will be issued on a first come first served basis to our members . PLEASE , do not rob another TNT member of the opportunity of participating if you will not finish the model . This is the first of a few similar builds which Mike & I have been discussing & if you let us down with this you will not be eligible for any further promotions!
We will make our decision if participating or not dependent on having seen any build completed here on TNT and that we reserve us the right of refusing requests of users that have no finished build/diorama published on TNT due to the fact that this group build is sponsored by Monroe Perdu!
"This street corner casting can depict almost any location in Europe from any time period within the last few centuries. The one piece casting consists of various types of cobbles and pavers, a curb, an iron tree grate and flat pad area for the placement for anything you can imagine such as a well, bench, newsstand, road signs, kiosk or lamp. The piece measures 7" x 7" and will accommodate several figures and a small vehicle such as a jeep or motorcycle/sidecar combination. This piece comes with full color photos of actual steet sections for use as painting reference. This model is compatible with 1/32-1/35 scale figures and vehicles."
Now we want people to think of the most original diorama that they can , that is the challenge ! We do not want the bland and ordinary , you are all far more talented than that ! . The competition will start August 1st & finish April 30 2010 so think of the most dynamic scene you can .
After the first 22 are taken , please if you want to participate contact Michael Bishop via PM here & he can organise a very special deal for you on the corner . Note if you are knocked back from the original offer you can still take advantage of this deal . Now if you have an unbuilt corner already in your stash you can also enter.
IMPORTANT ***** As the cost of postage around the world is exhorbitant please organise if possible that if a friend who lives close ( Like the Munich mob , Maltese Mob , Melbournians etc ) that all get posted to one person ie Laura who will distribute them .
Please at this time post here that you will participate , then we will ask for your address by PM later .
For each entry we will put straight ino a group build summary , Please acknowledge that you have recieved your corner .
In the interest of fairness we will only allow one entry per couple , so me & Richie will work on ours together , as will e.g. the Dioramixxes .
I know I speak for all in thanking Michael Bishop for such a generous opportunity & I know all TnTers will support Monroe Perdu , who provide a tremendous range of products .
