Right, Jenny,
and I do not believe, that any girl or woman in 1945 in Berlin was on the way in such clothes. This is only a dirty phantasy.

Elsa the Ape-Girl!!
OMG! Was Elsa one of those wierd science experiments gone awry?? Wow, that is the ugliest chick I've ever seen, I can't stop laughing long enough to type!!
Jenny, "hard and masculine" doesn't do that justice. This is worse than that "bitch slap" SS guy with the mammoth leftie!
Oh man, I need a scooby snak after that!!

But being in possession of a beautiful MG42 like that, you need to have a masculine face.
Hey, guys...... give Elsa some credit..... she does have a nice outline...excluding her face!.............see Jenny! What I told you about the box art?.....just because there is a female figure we men are all talking about her!!! Disgusting...really.....men are just dirty! Anyway, if I had to say form which actress she was inspired.... I'd say the female actress in Plant of the Apes

"Plant of the Apes"? That is one funny typo, Noel.
And I believe she was more inspired by early Cro-Magnon than either version of Planet of the Apes. I think it's the large, sloping forehead more than anything else.
It's a nice looking MG42 she's holding, it's better than a club!

Verlinden releases
Well as far as Elsa is concerned, two thoughts immediately came to mind.
first was that this guy was the model they used.
The second was that the people at Verlinden were hoping most purchasers would be male, and that of those the average would not actually get as high up on the figure as the face
I used to feel so so about Verlinden figures, then one day I realised that their 1/35 scale line was actually nearer to 1/31 or 1/30 scale. Unless you wanted to go for 1/35 scale and depict people that averaged about 6'8" or larger . But looking at these, even if I could overlook the size problem, they just look awful to me. All of them, all scales.

Jenny-
Don't even say things like that!
We'd rather have you short and sweet then over 5' and looking like an ape girl!! I'm sure Richie would agree.
I don't think Elsa's getting any Valentine's this year!
I can't believe we're still talking about her!

Hey Bob , do not knock Elsa
We may start a cult thingy , make her the highest selling Verlinden figure ever !!!! Her own group build in different colour schemes !
Just think of her as Eye candy for the visually challenged !
Poor Noel , he has not even seen her head yet !
