Avia S-199

Well I didn't quite finish by the deadline, but almost.  11:42 P.M. 1/31/2014 Arizona time   

Hobby Craft Avia S-199 as flown by Modi (Mordecai) Alon, 1948

I still need to add the radio mast, antenna, and RDF loop.  Then either flat coat or semi-gloss (haven't decided which yet).  Lastly unmask the canopy.

Over all fit was pretty good, but I think the tail wheel is too 'tall' (not a difficult fix).  My only real grip was having to cut down the decal for the tail stripes (I guess Me-109s had a larger tail).  the instruction tell you to cut down the decal but a template (to scale) would have been very helpful.

I'll post better pictures (more light) when I have it done, hopefully by Sunday (my local IPMS club meeting).

Oops looks like I nee to practice sizing photos as well

That Avia is looking great so far. Nice to see another thing with wings being built for this group build as well.

That is a sweet looking job you have done. Just add the last little bits and flatten it    then call it done.
