Hiya Zod:
That is gonna be one cool lookin little thunder clapper when it is finished . But I don't think that the Germans had cell phones back then, so you might want to reconsider gluing that on to anything .

Just got this done today.
This is the only wartime photo I could find so far. What that thing is in the red circle area is,I have no idea. This may be just a prototype, not one that was used in action.

Re: UE-sWG 40/28
Hi Chad, you mean the plate with the semi-circular hole? It appears to be part of the hatch for the crewman who sits on the right (I think). In front of the dome is a hatch in two parts, the front part is square, hinged to a second plate that meets the base of the dome and has a circular cut out to go round it. Because the hatch in the photo is open the circular plate hangs down, but it looks like yours will be closed so you won't need to worry about it..I think ...I hope that makes sense.
HTH, nice progress so far!

A VERY unique subject, beautifuly rendered!
I guess 'kit-bashing' has been going on longer than I suspected .
As for markings, perhaps a balkencreutz (sp?) or two?

Thanks Johannv. Kitbashhing is pretty easy. That's how I have built some what if models in the past.johannv wrote:A VERY unique subject, beautifuly rendered!

I may add a balkencruez. Pics of the real vehicle in wartime use are very rare.

Re: UE-sWG 40/28
Actually, the 'kit bashing' I was refering to was the method by which the original vehicle came about.
I'm going to have to take a look at your 'what ifs' to see if I can find some inspiration for the "Take a Break" GB.

D'OH I thought you meant modeling kitbashing. I will send you some links of previous builds tomorrow.johannv wrote:Actually, the 'kit bashing' I was refering to was the method by which the original vehicle came about.
