Showcase Models Australia Bushmaster PMV
It's here! and it's AWESOME!! (yes I know I'm shouting but I don't care) Thanks to John at Showcase Models my Bushy arrived yesterday Absolutely full to brim in the (Large) box, beautifully clean crisp injected plastic sprues, large sheet of photo etch details, 4 rubber tyres and decals for four vehicles ( 3 x Aust Army & 1 x RAAF) by Cartograph. I can't get over how big this 15 Tonne? beastie is in 1:35. Sorry I'm not able to post photos at this time and I'll leave the detailed reviews to those folks with the detailed knowledge of the subject. As for value for money, you can decide - it's not cheap at around A$60.00 + postage but I think it's worth every pacific peso I paid for it. Oh happy days..........................

Saw a few guys on Armorama discussing this, one guy bought 5 of them! Some people have WAY more money than me. The kit itself seems to be a mixed bag as far as their reviews go, but as they say, at lest someone made it. And an Aussie company too. Now, wonder if any will make their way to the land of the rising sun.....

The main point of contention appears to be the ride height of the suspension which may be slightly too low. The quality of the dark grey plastic reminds me of Trumpeter or Hobby Boss with some extremely finely moulded details as well as the large one piece body shell. Built OOB or with some after market from ACM or Mouse House it should be stunning leaving one to wonder what SMA has planned for kits 35002 and 35003 listed on the side of the box.

Another guy said the detail in the cab had some omissons, and the walls or something in the rear were a bit suss. Still, Id like to get one, bit pricey for me tho.

Mine turned up in the post today & it looks very nice to me. Cost me $70 bucks to my door but what the hell it’s a model from an Aussie company & of an Aussie vehicle so I would be happy to spend more than that. I might even order another one.

Jenny and Jaymes
I've noticed on Jason Miller's Arms Corps Models website that he has a "Bushmaster PMV MEAO Update 2009+" now listed as "coming soon" . Having previously used some of Jason's update sets on my Trumpeter ASLAV-25 I'm sure that it will make a great kit into something special.

Re: Showcase Models Australia Bushmaster PMV
Turns out it IS headed to Japan, but at a premium price though. If I read right people said it cost about $50 without postage right? Now Im no mathematician or merchant banker, but last time I checked the Aussie dollar was worth about 75 yen, and 100 yen was about AUS$1.25. So I figure a straight currency exchange would be about 3,750. Of course thered be the cost of shipping and all the various middlemen would add to the cost but...the asking price is 9,975 yen. Translating it back to Aus$ thats about $125. Someone somewhere is walking away with a big fat profit methinks...and Im not about to add to it.

Check this out Roy from Blast Models http://www.phpshopxml.com/blamod.shop/CID/cfd3e325a2aa264ca297c902c15a8f3c/function/itemPageDisplay/shopItemCode/SMA35001
4774.74 yen plus freight of course , they are very good with freight and it usually comes out a lot less than the quote , they email exact freight quote and you either okay or cancel your order then . They are super quick with postage often beating items ordered the same day with domestic postage !
Of course to cover costs of freight you may need some other bits ......... like the new Black dog Aussie Tankers heheheheheheehe

Thanks Jen, though unfortunately I dont have a credit card and have been repeatedly knocked back for one here. Thats why I was happy when I found HLJ do C.O.D. within Japan. Maybe my missus will be feeling generous, though shes a bit peeved the last order hasnt arrived yet as she paid for half of it.
