Squadron has the new Hobby Boss AAVP-7A1 in stock!!
I just went into my office at Squadron and found that the new 1/35 scale Hobby Boss AAVP-7A1 kits have arrived.
I am presently sitting in my home office/studio assembling two of them for use at or booth (Squadron) at the upcoming 2009 Nurenberg hobby trade show.
The kit looks very nice, complete interior, link by link tracks, sensible photo-etch all included.
I will post some build photos later tonight or tomorrow as I progress.
More Later,
David

Excellent
Looking forward to it D'Man , I would say this would be a popular model for you in particular . Is it better than the old Tamiya kit ?

A few photos of the build so far...
The kit builds up very nice, with only a couple of small glitches to note. The first being that some of the interior wall panels are actually illustrated upside down on the instruction sheet assembly process. But it's not a major problem as everything is properly identified and located, you just need to flip the piece over 180 degrees when your done. The steering wheel is another area where a photo of the real part would be helpful. It should of been molded as one piece instead of two.
In this image I took in 2005, you can see what the steering will should look like when you assemble the two pieces. Also note that the Hobby Boss kit gives you the radio racks, but lacks the radios themselves.
All and all Hobby Boss is to be commended on giving us a very good interior with this kit. If you build it up straight up from the box and paint and weather it well, you will end up with a very nice interior. If you decide to add a bit of detailing here and there, you end up with a VERY VERY nice interior. If you are a fan of super detailing, you will end up with a KILLER interior.
So far the build has been quite enjoyable, next I move on to the snap together workable link by link tracks. I am not really a fan of the tedious process of working with tracks like this, especially when 80 percent of the top run of tracks is hidden from view on the finished model. The track pads are all separate pieces which is a nice touch considering many of the vehicles that I have seen are missing some of the pads altogether and most of the other pads on the track links are quite worn. At least by making them separate you have the choice of adding wear and tear to them and achieving that realistic worn and torn look.
Warriors will have several new sets of figures to go with this model along with a detail set, an interior stowage set, an exterior storage set and a sheet of water slide decals. I am also working on a new all color reference book on this family of vehicles including some beautiful "In Action" color photos of these beasts in Iraq during OIF.
Thanks for looking,
More later.

OOOOOOH SWEEEEET
I love all the interior detail D'Man , I was thinking you would be itchin' to put some detail sets for it ! Has the turret got interior detail too ?
Man , this is going to be a popular kit , have you any idea of a RRP ?
From some pictures I have seen of these beasts that you have taken , they will be fun to weather too , some parts rust & streak real bad , while the aluminium oxidizes & chips real bad !
Thanks for the update D'Man !

Looks Nice David
Thanks for sharing the images Dave
NWM has a set or two planned for this vehicle as well, action posed!
What about the later chassis version, when will that be out?
