New Kamizukuri detail sets

There are some new detail sets from Kamizukuri that look very interesting. Especially considering that they are NOT brass, but laser cut paper. Have no fear of them however, as they are all appropriate thickness in all dimensions. To me they look like a very nice alternative to assembling these items out of brass. Especially the CCKW brush guard, and the light guards. They are already in the final shape. Just free them from the runners , glue, and paint. It couldn't get easier than that







I'm not sure what the currency conversion is exactly, but these are at a pretty nice price; listed at from the top 800, 800, and 1140 Yen each. I think that is about $8.00 and $11.50 U.S.D. roughly.

I would think that with a proper coat of paint,gloss coat,and flat agent following the standard finishing techniques most modellers use that they would hold up just fine. Unless of course you play with them in the tub at bath time

I would suggest that instead of a soldering iron, you use a small butane torch . That should take care of them super quick .
