The Big T is rumbling again.
I just saw that Tamiya is getting ready to release a 1/35 scale JSU 152. It is listed with an arrival date of somewhere around November. Just in time for some late December treats. It is also going to be closely followed by a set of Russian infantry.
Even though most of you can't read most of this, if you scroll down to about half way down on the right hand side listings it is sitting there amongst all the spaghetti just as pretty as can be.It is listed as 1/35 JSU 152 Soviet heavy self propelled artillery. .

Maybe this is why we see that Dragon is re-releasing thiers in the Orange Box line. Now how many of these will end up in the "Berlin 45" group build I wonder .
It is also interesting that right underneath the listing for the 152 is a listing for a 1/35 Type 82 Kubelwagen Ramke Brigade(thank you Rob for a correct translation ). I wonder if this is going to be a Libyian desert version, or the standard. I guess we shall have to wait to see.

For the translation of the link Gary gave us Click Here. It's not 100%, but you get the idea.

Thanks Rob.
I guess I should go back and change that from a Pzkw I type 82 to a K I type 82 kubelwagen . And if I had the space, I think I would be real tempted by that 1/350 scale Mogami.

Good to see Tamiya coming up with a new I52 BUT let's face it they had everything already HALF prepared when they issued the new IS 2 as how it was split it already gave away that this one is coming but oh God do they need ages to come along with this model, what are their marketing people up to?

I think it's just that Tamiya are on a diffrent time scale than Dragon or Trumpeter. Tamiya does sooooooo much other stuff that they are not really all that pressed to cover us in a waterfall of new releases like the Chinese companies do in order to stay in business. They just give us our 3 or 4 new kits each year, and it keeps us happy, and it keeps them happy. The way I look at it, Dragon and Trumpeter bombard me with new releases, and I usually will end up getting just a little less than half of them. But when Tamiya comes out with something, I don't even have to think about it. I get at least one. With Dragon (especially) and Trumpeter It is not always a sure thing that it is a good kit. But with Tamiya I am quite confident that it is going to be a great kit. Not quite as finessed as the new Dragon kits. But rock solid as far as enginering, fit, and accuracy. Dragon IS getting much better at that this year. I don't really see them dropping the klunker on us like they occasionally used to do. But as I said, with Tamiya, I don't have to worry about waiting for someone to do a build and review to know that what I am getting is going to be good. And after all, it's not like we are running short of things to do

Re: The Big T is rumbling again.
Well, the Dragon Orange Series release states it has retooled the lower hull. I wonder if they used the information (photos and measurements) I sent Nick Cortese? In any case, Tamiya's kit will be on my shelf.
