i bet the fenders are put to the side completely constructed to have it more easy to paint the tracks!

... or it is a tactic to avoid the fender kink issue!

Me too Richard but in the box has 38 ton pieces and new parts of the canyon, so the fit of two models is not a new one.

Today, after 1 1/2 hour of airbrush. Here is the result, First base coat with a little light modulation.

I hope you like it.

Nice coat of paint!

I can see the subtle tone variation in the colour. The lower areas are slightly darker.

I am still very found of pre-shading, though and use the modulation technique to highlight some areas.
