Re: Trumpeter KV-2
I think 4BO has a blue/grey component to it, which is why white seems to work.
Generally though I lighten greens with yellow/tan tones.
The KV looks excellent BTW.

Re: Trumpeter KV-2
Finished! (Or about as finished as it's gonna get for this build )
Here are some photos of the beast. When I was uploading the photos I realized that I hadn't used any graphite highlights on the tracks or MGs so I'll take care of that "soon." Also, I might place it on a scenic base later, but . . . .
As usual, all comments/criticism welcome.

Re: Trumpeter KV-2
Hi Mark.
Nice weathering and perfect green, but I think in front part is too much dust (but what looks great is dost on mud guards...best part on model )
Excuse me, but one thing what don't look good is rusty scratch on the roof of turret (is too big)
Looking forward to base

Nice work Mark. I like the KV, I’ve got on in 1/35 and one in 1/48 so next Braille build I might get one of these.

Re: Trumpeter KV-2
Thanks, everyone, for all the comments!
Pavel hit the nail on the head with his suggestions . There is WAAAY too much dust/dirt on the front of the hull. I made the mistake of touching my brush full of pigment to the wet fixative and pigment ran everywhere. I will attempt to tone it down with some Allied Green fading pigment. The "rust scratch" on the turret roof was a boo-boo, too. I was trying to show some fading through to the undercoat and got carried away. I will tackle that, too, with a mixture of green paint and pigment.
I just noticed that I also need to do something with the headlamp. Oh, well, lessons learned and all that .
Visitors this weekend, but then it's off to the paint booth with my StuG Fl

Hi Mark:
It looks very good. And I'm sure you can fix the tiny little bits with no problem.
