New S-100/S-38 parts from Cammetts
Howdy,
As you may know I have a S-100/S-38 Problem right now. Yeah, a bit obsessed!
So here is some new bits from Cammetts. These are the depth charges and rails and will consist of 6 charges and two sets of rails. The S-38 Wheelhouse will follow soon.

So Ryan , are they an omission from the Italeri kit , a more detailed update or an option for certain vessels ?

Well...
Howdy Jenny,
These depth charges were more common on the S-38's. Its not really an omission as an option. I think that the mine rails that come with it are wrong also. I have yet to see a photo or drawing showing this type. What I do see, are rails that curve with the conture of the hull alond the deck,(p.28 and 47 in Squadrons book support this) past that rear area where there is a ladder down. This can be seen on both S-100 and S-38 type boats. This also means that the smoke pots on the rear are located wrong and should be where the rails currently go. I can't wait for those big round mines with the points sticking out, like in SuperFuzz!
Later, Ryan

Now I know why Ryan is putting all this detail in this model.
He lives in Springfield, IL. He is probably snowed in and can't get out his door....
just kidding.... It's looking Great Ryan, your making very good progress on the boat.
When you are finished with it, how are you going to display it.
Cheers,
Andy

Hey Andy,
It is minus 10 without the windchill. Totally staying in and modelling. Watching some movies also. Later, Ryan
