Another new neubaufahrzug!
Seen on PMMS, ML and TL. A new company Amusing Hobby have announced their first release and it's yet another Neubaufahrzug
At this rate there'll be more manufacturers of kits of these things than actually saw service. Looks rather good and scuttlebutt is retail of about US$50.

Hi Andy
I saw this on PMMS.
It looks rather good and I'll be interested in getting on of these beasties.

ditto as it looks more steampunk than the War of the Worlds II armoured Landcrawler that I'm scratchbuilding!

Ahhhh but its also interesting Andrew
I have nothing against German armour per se, but it is so overhwelmingly ubiquitous in modelling circles that I find it really boring. Familiarity, as the saying goes, breeds contempt
This is wierd though, and all those turrets make it look a lot less vanilla

Re: Another new neubaufahrzug!
I can just imagine some poor bloke flying through the air after his M4's been clobbered by a Tiger thinking...
"I'm getting a touch of Vanilla"
I know what you mean though Chris, this is high on my wish list.

I meant it purely in a modelling sense Simon.

Re: Another new neubaufahrzug!
I know Chris.
That's why I've moved away from most of the German Pz Types.
Stuff like this is worth taking time out of my current (mainly British/Commonwealth) schedule though.

Re: Another new neubaufahrzug!
agreed, especially as the parts on the sprues look very good indeed, better than the trumpy or DML ones

It certainly is interesting and definitely not vanilla!
However, it's a shame that we end up with a kit for each one actually built (although DML seem to heading the same way with their Tigers) and yet the Vickers Independent will never be kitted.

Re: Another new neubaufahrzug!
You know Ive often thought that a forum like this just MIGHT be able to have some influence on the manufacturers. Despite being mainly a fan of WWII German stuff, I too moan about yet another Tiger/Mk IV/Stug etc, etc. Would it be possible for T.N.T. to quiz members about say their top three desired models (as yet un-kitted, or abysmally old/odd scale/bad only available), boil them all down to a top ten, and then pass that on to the makers? Maybe then, if we regularly badgered them, we might get want we want instead of the other way round.

Good idea Roy.
Why don't you start a thread in Hot Gossip, it should get folks interested.

Was this started? I can't see it and I'd be happy to start one off.
